History

Bloodfest 7s is a rugby sevens tournament hosted by Huns Rugby Football Club, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves a wide range of rugby players from co-ed youth, high school, and men. We have a close relationship with the Rock Rugby Academy and the Austin Valkyries Women's Rugby Club, who contribute to the tournament’s success.

Bloodfest 7s is hosted in Austin, Texas every June. It was named for the involvement with community partner We Are Blood who has been providing and protecting the blood supply of Central Texas since 1951. The Huns hold a blood drive in the month ahead of Bloodfest.

Bloodfest 7s has been around since June 1998 when it was held at Zilker Park in Downtown Austin with just a handful of teams. Today, Bloodfest 7s hosts 80+ teams from all around the United States. With divisions for all rugby players, your team can experience the “big tent” of the Austin Huns.
